Thanks to our Vice President of Membership Programming and her Sisterhood Chair, Alpha Chi's have a countless number of fun sisterhood outings every quarter! Some of our sisterhoods have included paddle boarding, bonfires, hiking, beach yoga, movie nights, roller disco skating, a weekend trip to Disneyland, and pumpkin patch visits. Every year, Alpha Chi's plan events together including music festivals such as Coachella, Stagecoach and Outside Lands, spring break vacations, and studying abroad. Some of our favorite memories have come from times spent with sisters as we strengthen our bond.
Alpha Chi's love excuses to spend time with their family at Cal Poly. That is why we have Parent's Weekend in the Fall, Mom's Weekend in the Winter, and Dad's Weekend in the Spring. For Parent's Wekeend, every Alpha Chi's parents are invited to San Luis Obispo to celebrate the new members that have been initiated. Mom's Weekend involves fun activities planned over the weekend including manicures together, hiking, brunch and a tour of our house! For Dad's Weekend we host a friendly sports game, BBQ, kayaking in Morro Bay and dinner together! It's so much fun being able to spend time with our sisters and get to know all of our families.
Exchanges are our favorite time to get together with our sisters, dress up and dance the night away. Each exchange has a theme that allows our sisters to get creative with their outfits. Some themes from past exchanges have been: 80’s Prom, Around the World, Music Genres and many more!
Our chapter hosts two Formal events during the academic year. In October we host Red Carnation, our fall semi-formal to support the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation for our Founder's Day. Our Spring Formal is a great way to dress up and have a fun time with your sisters and celebrate the end of the year!
